🌟 This week, we celebrate Mr. Glick and Mrs. Constantini! These two incredible leaders inspire and support our teachers and empower our students every day. Today the staff presented each administrator with a basket of goodies.

Third grade students have been studying predator and prey animals as part of their ecosystems unit. Today, they had the opportunity to examine various skulls, including those of a ram, deer, coyote, river otter, fox, cat, and alligator, and discuss whether each animal was a predator or prey. The students enjoyed comparing the differences between herbivore and carnivore teeth. Additionally, they were excited to explore a glowing, 3D-printed T-rex skull. All skulls were generously donated to Mrs. McMahon by a licensed taxidermist.

1st grade has been learning about goods, services, producers, consumers, spending and saving. Today, they held their holiday market featuring a variety of crafts. Each student followed a budget and understood they would have to save their money for the items they wanted the most.

🎶The Winter Music Club (led by Mr. Mastromarino) performed a concert for their families. This included 6 songs and a variety of instruments. To see a recording of their hard work and abilities, please click this link- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i7QdpOzcf8U

🥧Farmington SCA's (led by Mrs. Waddell) organized a canned food drive to benefit the Culpeper Community Christmas Basket program. Farmington met its goal and today was the reward: Pie a Staff! We are happy that we could help the community and have fun together!

🎼EVHS provided another wonderful holiday concert for Farmington today. It is always a special holiday treat to see our former students spread holiday cheer. Future band members joined in and some of the younger students were picked to help conduct. Thank you EVHS!

Coding ignites creativity, problem-solving, reasoning, communication, confidence and so much more! Students in 4th grade this week are working with Mrs. Nicholson (ITRT) to code their Ozobots for a winter dance party and a concert of Jingle Bells!
