3rd grade stamped their passports to different countries. Students have "visited" Italy, Russia, Mexico, Sweden, Germany, Australia, France and the Philippines. For Italy, students enjoyed a seven course meal learning about the Feast of the Seven Fishes with Ms. Tharp.
1st grade has been learning about goods, services, producers, consumers, spending and saving. Today, they held their market featuring a variety of crafts. Each student had $30 to spend and understood they would have to save their money for the items they wanted the most.
5th grade has been learning about force, motion and energy. Students collaborated on a STEAM challenge to build a roller coaster. They not only successfully constructed coasters but they were also able to use their science vocabulary in planning and problem solving. Ride On!
SNOWBALL fight! Today was the PBIS reward party for all grades. During resource, students who did not receive a referral during the month of December participated in a snow version of another P.E. game. Students and staff had a blast! Keep up the good behavior, FOXES!

Third grade participated in some festive holiday rotations today! They had a game and crafting room, a candy cane tasting room, a hot cocoa cafe room, and a Nutcracker yoga studio room. A special thank you to the PTO for the crafts!
Student Council met this morning to spread holiday cheer. This month's positive impact project was handwritten, holiday cards for the Culpeper Health & Rehab center. We hope this brings them cheer.
CONGRATULATIONS to all of our spelling bee contestants! Ms. Harris held an after school club to prepare the students. A special shout out to Adleigh, Anthony, and Charlee, they will represent Farmington at the county bee in January! Thank you to our guest judges and host!

Students in Mrs. Teitelbaum's 4th grade class reviewed their knowledge of the Declaration of Independence by writing with a quill like the Founding Fathers did. They are now thankful for modern writing utensils!
12 Days of Holidays!
5th graders in Mrs. Fick's Language Arts class have been working on research and presentation skills. Each day a different presentation will be presented on the morning news. Farmington will have a spirit day to go along with this.
Students in Mrs. Casasanta's Science class did an escape room challenge to review for their forms of energy test. Students worked to solve riddles, unscramble questions, answer true or false questions and more!

Balloons Over Broadway tells the story of the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parade. 3rd grade students worked in groups to create their own floats with Ms. Ferlazzo and Mrs. Nicholson during library. Groups selected a book character, researched and filmed a parade coding Beebots.

Mrs. McMahon's class completed a breakout where the prize was ice cream! This went along with the story, "How to Make an Apple Pie and See the World."
5th grade students had an amazing experience today visiting CTEC. Students toured the facility and all 10 trades. Students also got to "shadow" a trade of their choice. They ended the experience with career activities in the hub. Thank you CTEC for your hospitality!
