This is a summer program to learn more about a working farm, doing chores and making fast friends! Leadership Skills and Life Skills are a part of the learning process and kids grow in leaps and bounds while having FUN! Confidence, self-esteem, teamwork, responsibility, work ethic, problem solving, initiative, cooperation are just a few of the by-products of this LEARN BY DOING program.

This year's camp is a 4 day camp (Monday - Thursday). Formerly known as Art in the Park, Parks & Recreation is bringing it back for a new location – the Culpeper County Fieldhouse! Fan the creative spark of your budding artist, with a week of nothing but ART!

They'll explore a range of drawing, painting, crafts and more! At the end of the program, all creations will be on display for parents, friends and family. Spaces are limited; register early.

(This program is supported by a grant from the Rappahannock Rapidan Community Services Prevention).

Dress appropriately for messy art projects; feel free to bring water/beverage.

Miss the days of sending kids to camp and them coming home exhausted from playing literally all day? Those days are back with the summer recreation camp hosted by Culpeper County Parks & Recreation! Daily activities will include the choice of cultural arts programs and a variety of rotating sports activities daily. The camp will take place at the Culpeper County Fieldhouse and adjacent sports complex fields Monday-Thursday, 8:00am-2:00pm.

Bring sunscreen, a lunch, and water daily. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes.

Camp GOTR (Girls on the Run Piedmont): Girls Have Power: Jul 10, 2023 - Jul 14, 2023

Camp GOTR by Girls on the Run provides an intensive, one-of-a-kind opportunity for incoming AND outgoing 3rd–5th grade girls to develop self-confidence, learn life skills, and have fun. Girls will enjoy building friendships in a fun and inclusive setting that includes interactive games, being physically active, and expressing creativity through arts and crafts and storytelling.

During this dynamic week-long session, girls will learn about the power they possess to recognize emotions in themselves and others, and how to express their feelings through fun and interactive activities such as “Emotion Detective”, building workshops, creative skits and more!

Led by caring and qualified Girls on the Run coaches, this camp

combines the best of the Girls on the Run program with all the fun of camp.

This week-long, half-day camp (four hours each day, is designed to address the physical, social, and emotional development of girls through fun and engaging lessons. Using an intentional curriculum that incorporates small and large group games, physical activity, interactive workshops, and individual

reflection, girls learn valuable skills to help them build meaningful and positive connections with others.

Each week of camp GOTR consists of 5 days of curriculum that is designed to be implemented in 4-hour blocks. Girls will spend time in small teams.

Super Heroes Camp: Jul 31, 2023 - Aug 4, 2023

Nothing says summer vacation, like taking a break from our regular lives to become super heroes! Kids get to create their own fantastical skits. They can incorporate their favorite characters such as Wonder Woman and Black Panther, to create their own fantasy scenes as well.

Young actors will learn stage speech techniques, stage movement skills and various improv, with characterization. Their creativity will be challenged in creating a custom for their Super Hero, for the last day culminating performance.

Ages 6 to 11.

Bull Run Mountains Conservancy Summer Outdoor Programs

BRMC's Youth Outdoors Summer Programs are open for registration! Our Youth Outdoors Naturalist camps provide youth an opportunity to immerse themselves in nature and work with an expert field biologist. Our offerings include a Budding Naturalist Camp (ages 4-6), Herpetology Camps(ages 7-14), and a Summer Naturalist Camp(ages 7-14). We are also excited to announce our Chesapeake Watershed Workshop with support from the Chesapeake Bay Restoration Fund. 6 Scholarships are available and can be found on our website.
